Kashfia Biography

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers with over 13 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, children and youth. My training includes a Master of Social Work degree from University of Toronto, and I approach my work from a client-centered perspective, offering evidence-based therapy for a wide range of emotional and adjustment difficulties. My focus lies on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally competent practices.
When it comes to therapy, there is no “one size fits all” approach. Thus, I employ a holistic and eclectic approach using CBT, Narrative Therapy, DBT, family systems, and solution focused/brief modalities. I have honed my skills in developing goal-directed plans to address mental health concerns, improve family dynamic, and relational issues.
As a proud Bangladeshi-Canadian, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore how faith, culture, race, life transitions, and relationships impacts their lives. You might think your “problem” is too small to connect with a therapist, but if you’re ready for change, then that’s BIG! Let’s connect over a 15-min free consult.
